Commitment. The deepest form of self care. It’s Jan 2, 2017. Yet another year has gone by. What will you do? Who will you be? You’ve got big goals, small goals, skinny goals, fat goals. You have goals of all shapes and sizes — many of them accumulating from years past. What is 2017 going to be for you?
For me it’s going to be a year of healing. A year of accomplishment. I’m sick and tired of unfullfilled dreams, goals, ideas, and plans. I’ve filled an entire library with self-help books. Everything I need is already inside of me to succeed. It is time to start living a Level 10 Life. It’s. Time. For. Action. No more excuses, no nonsense, no bs. I’m making the commitment to myself to live on purpose for 365 days, through rain or shine, all bs aside. And so it shall be. This year, I become the effing butterfly!

And what does 365 days of conscious living look like for me? Well, it always starts with my health. It’s what I find myself constantly going back to. Health is your first wealth. It is the first pillar to your success. Without it you have nothing. Sure, you can go make millions, you can be a tech genius, you can be the master of bad-assery in your field, but if you die at 54 due to lifestyle choices then what will any of your success in other areas have mattered? We are selling ourselves short. No one ever included health in the American Dream — time for a new vision.
“Health is the first pillar to your success.”
365 days is a daunting number. And you know what that means? Time to Break. It. Down. So I’m going to focus on the first 3 months. To know where you’re going you have to know where you’ve been. Currently, I have been in a funk — oh yes, child, a stinky funk. I’ve only got enough energy to power half a light bulb at this point. My energy always drops during Christmas Holidays. Food seems to affect me quicker and more deeply than most. I already have a sensitive configuration. And the detoxes and cleanses I’ve done over the years it seems has made me more sensitive. If I am not eating well my energy drops drastically; my skin breaks out, lethargy sets in, depression soon follows. It’s a blessing and a curse. Most people fall under the “unhealthy now, suffer later” category. Me? I’m in the “unhealthy now, suffer now, and severely” category. I have to be healthy or things start falling apart rather quickly in my world. This is where I’m at so my top goals for the first 3 months are as follows:
1. Clear my skin once and for all
2. Lose 30 lbs
3. Create boundless, consistent energy
Having more energy will allow me to:
4. Exercise consistently
5. Establish a consistent morning routine
Seems like a lot, right? All these may seem very different (albeit related) however I’ll be using ONE tool to accomplish them all…………….. a 100% raw diet! ((insert gasp and awe here))
So yes, the first 3 months of 2017 are going to be all about accomplishing these goals and my transition into raw foods. Stay tuned for what that transition is actually going to look like.
Cheers to you, your health, and all that wealth.
Love, Chrysalis
